CNC Foam Cutter, electronics
Ok, I gave it a try.
After 4 hours manual foam cutting I decided to change to CNC.
After a lot of study in the Net, I found out that I don't want to spend 2000 Euros in a complete CNC-Foam-Cutter. This is not so much fun as build one by myself :-)
A very good source for the electronics is nc-step.com. Very well made stuff of high quality for nice soldering. Btw. it is necessary to have basic soldering skills to complete the kits. SMD-Parts are (when present) already mounted.
This is what I ordered:

Lets begin the work:

After a little bit nervous soldering (last work 6 Years ago...), I finished the first module.
From top to down: Backside 3D-Step, Power Supply, Tiny-Step, 3D-Step, Optocoupler.

First check of the power supply successful :-)

It is time to make a box for the whole electronics. This is the order from distrelec.ch

Lets start..

The case is ugly.. but it works.

Top view:
The blank connectors of the internal black power supply are of course not connected to high voltage. This additional power supply is necessary because I don't want to connect the logical 5V supply to the optocoupler...
Further (on this pic not done yet) the case is connected to the earth (green/yellow wire).

Done!
